Editorial policy
This page covers the guides in our library, the glossary and the copy on our product pages.
What we write about
Laboratory chemistry and documentation: how peptides are made and analysed, what a certificate of analysis reports, how purity and identity are measured, and how lyophilised material and solvents are stored and handled. Product pages describe a compound's structure, nomenclature and specification: sequence, molecular formula, molecular weight, CAS number, form and storage.
What we don't publish
Our products are supplied for laboratory research use only. We don't publish dosing, administration or preparation-for-use information, claims about effects, benefits or results, or content about any medical condition. This applies to guides, product pages, page titles, image descriptions and emails. We don't run sponsored content or take payment to mention a product or supplier.
Sources
Chemistry values come from public references such as PubChem and the primary literature. Where a lot's certificate of analysis reports a different value, the certificate is the record for that lot. Where a guide relies on a published method or standard, it says so. We describe what a study measured, not what it might mean for a reader.
Certificates of analysis
Every lot has its own certificate of analysis, published on the lot's page. We report only the results the certificate gives. See Quality for how lots and certificates work.
Review and dates
Each guide shows the date it was first published and, once it has been reviewed again, the date of that review. We review guides when a method, standard or our own testing changes.
Corrections
If you find an error in a guide or a product specification, please contact us. We correct factual errors promptly and update the review date when we do.
