Epitalon (also spelled Epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It was designed by Vladimir Khavinson's group at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, based on the amino acid composition of epithalamin, a polypeptide extract of the bovine pineal gland. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
