GHK-Cu, also known as copper tripeptide-1, is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK). GHK was first isolated from human plasma by Loren Pickart in 1973. Cu(II) is bound through the glycine amino nitrogen, the deprotonated amide nitrogen of the Gly-His bond and the histidine imidazole, which gives the powder its blue colour. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
