Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide, Aib-His-D-2Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, first described by Raun et al. at Novo Nordisk in 1998. Alongside D-phenylalanine and a C-terminal amide, it contains two non-proteinogenic residues: α-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) and 3-(2-naphthyl)-D-alanine (D-2Nal). Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
