Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide, Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, made of the adrenocorticotropic hormone fragment ACTH(4-7) extended with the same C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro tripeptide used in Selank. It was also developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
